"To whom it may concern: In late November of 2012 I found that I needed to repair a cracked sewer line, so I began to get estimates. I contacted three plumbers, some of whom had rooted out the sewer over the past several years. Each one told me it should be done replaced and soon. Each recommended a sewer liner. Some presented alarming complications and some of them, what I would call horror stories. One of them never looked on the property to find the line or use a sewer camera, but opened a manhole in the street, looked in, then gave me the highest estimate of the three. Each presented a very difficult cost, all of them in my judgement, too high. I had watched when the sewer was put in many years ago and had insight into what was involved, so I continued to search. I found North Brothers Plumbing online, saw that they were within a mile of my house - neighbors - and they advertised the best initial cost right on their website. So I called. Jay North came when he said he would in a well cared for truck with proper equipment. He was business like, had workmanlike devices for running his business and seemed committed and forthright about what he did. He used his camera, showed me the problem and provided me with an estimate about half that of the cost of the most reasonable of the others. It described what I thought was the case and contradicted complications said to be there by others by others. (Though I pressed him on this, he stood his ground and in the event showed me that he was right.) He owns his own his own liner equipment, doesn't subcontract it and has over 20 years of experience, so I retained him. He finished the work when he said he would. It works like it's supposed to work. It was a very satisfactory experience and I've recommended him to friends. One of them recently availed himself of his services and told me emphatically that Jay was a good man, did a great job and is glad to know about him. This is my experience too.

"We found North Brothers Plumbing online after doing a Google search for trenchless pipe lining. We had a company come out that we heard on the radio for the $99 drain cleaning because we had a main drain backup, which quickly turned into a $1,400 drain cleaning job. They told us we needed to get a permanent repair and gave us an outrageous price of $18,000. We had several companies come out and we got prices all over the place. Thankfully North Brothers Plumbing promised the best price so we had them reline our main drain pipes out to the street. They did a fantastic job! They came in at a quarter of the price that these other companies wanted. It's been only two months since the work was done and everything is working smoothly. If anyone is in need of a sewer relining, do yourself a favor and call these guys. They promised the best and delivered what they promised!

“I called him because of clogged pipes (roots) and he was able to diagnose the problem in no time. He had all the appropriate tools to not only clear the pipes but also investigate further and show me exactly where the problem was by running a camera through the main. “I contacted Jay North of North Bros. Plumbing about running a washing machine return line from our garage to the return line at the house. It was about 30 feet and it involved upgrading the pipe to 2" lines and running the return line to the house and tapping into it. "Jay started on Monday and finished Tuesday morning. Did a good neat job. I was concerned about the damage to the yard, but he kept it to a minimum. He was smart about the work and he's the type of guy I like to work with, not a whole lot of conversation back and forth. He described what he was going to do, gave me a cost that was about $400 less than others I'd talked to, I approved the cost, he did it and I got him a check. He's a good man and I recommend him.”

“My bathroom sink was clogged with standing water. I called Jay late Friday and he came out the next day (Labor Day weekend). The clog was in the wall behind the sink. "He cleared the drain, and even replaced part of the drain under the sink at no extra cost. I have been using Jay for several years now...he re-configured the plumbing in my shower/tub when I remodeled the bathroom, and charged me just over half of what the plumbers with commercials on T.V. quoted me. You will not be disappointed with Jay.”

“Replaced master water shutoff faucet on the house exterior; replaced plastic hoses on the washer with metal hoses; fixed leaking cold water wall valve in guest bathroom. "North Bros. showed up precisely on time and finished the job in about 3 hours (4 hours had been estimated ) at the estimated price. I had questioned 2 previous plumbers about how to get the master shutoff valve fixed (the one you need to turn off in case something breaks inside and starts flooding the house, or if you need to do a minor repair yourself.) Neither of the previous plumbers could give me a clear answer. It involved replacing a section of old galvanized pipe. One of them said i might have to tear out the pipe under the lawn to do it. Jay North explained the situation clearly and then cut out a 2-foot section of old pipe and replaced it with a new pipe and shutoff handle. Eventually i will have the rest of the galvanized pipe replaced and will definitely call North Bros. to do it.”

“Replaced broken shower valve. "I called on Tuesday and requested an 8 am appointment which he was able to give for the following morning. The plumber showed up just prior to 8 am, accessed the problem, gave me a price and left to find purchase the valve. He even called me when he found out the item was quite expensive to make sure approved of the purchase. Overall a great experience.”
